Seing as I suck at wiki stuff, I'll just add my suggestion here: maybe add that its ONLY available on steam, and only if you have bought skyrim on your account. This, this, and this should be evidence enough. I will make a small edit to the page to reflect this since there are probably a lot of people checking it today. 220.245.246.77 09:07, 2 February 2012 (UTC) Released yet? Īn anon has been updating the page saying it's out now (I know it's the 7th of feburary and its said to come out today) but I cannot find anything actually saying to the Creation Kit is out, does anyone have any proof its out? I think we should wait until we get a link proving it before saying its out ( Eddie The Head 11:18, 7 February 2012 (UTC)) The Kit is now up, just downloaded it. As I'm sure you're aware, "not far behind" is completely meaningless in developer parlance.
SKYRIM CREATION KIT STEAM CRASH PATCH
Updated the release date section to reflect the fact that Bethesda, in that Nowgamer article, have not said the CS will be out in early February, only that it won't be far behind the patch due in early Feb.
SKYRIM CREATION KIT STEAM CRASH UPDATE
(Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout NV, and now Skyrim) 94.23.251.210 20:35, 30 January 2012 (UTC) Update to release date 124.150.81.251 14:31, 25 January 2012 (UTC) That would only make sense if this wasn't the 5th time around. Dev tools are typically very 'hacky' and not end user ready, they are most likely essentially re-writing the dev kit in another language so as to be more user friendly, with documentation, a sensible layout, tooltips and the like. 24.62.136.31 05:18, 14 January 2012 (UTC) The obvious answer is the lack of consumer-level documentation and the fact that dev tools are commonly thrown together by the tool dev team in visual basic or similar.
SKYRIM CREATION KIT STEAM CRASH MODS
Or they were hoping to spread the news reports of the games release and news reports of nude mods out a bit. My theory is that they have some bits in there that might spoil threads for DLC, and put off releasing it until closer to the release dates for the DLC. I don't expect them to waste patching time tracking all of these down, but the community is usually quick to fix these if given the tools. Is this the only reason we've waited 2 months for the kit?īy now, I expected an unofficial patch to have been released repairing all those places where the rock's surfaces fail to intersect with the ground, and you can see that it is hollow. Why didn't they just release it at the same time as Skyrim? The only clue I've heard was adding Steam support to distribute the mods.
SKYRIM CREATION KIT STEAM CRASH SOFTWARE
Something that's bothered me since the release of Skyrim:Įverything I've seen said that the unreleased creation kit will be identical to the software that they used to create Skyrim, and that Skyrim was designed on PCs. As a compromise, maybe you could post a link to it in this discussion, then those that are looking for alternatives will still find it, but we're not opening the doors to turning the article into a link farm. In the long run, I'd say no, but given that there's pretty much nothing else, maybe. Should this page mention that the beta of SkyEdit is available now as an alternative? It might be helpful, but I don't know if it belongs here. 12 Elder Scrolls Magic Collection Revised - Creation Kit advice?.9 Please, keep the version number accurate.2 Something that's bothered me since the release of Skyrim.
